2013 : a great vintage in Languedoc

To summarise, the weather in 2013 was characterised by:

• A mild winter with low rainfall and the odd morning frost,
• Abundant rainfall in the spring and cool temperatures causing a delay in ripening,
• A hot, dry summer
• A fairly outstanding autumn in terms of sunshine and mild temperatures.

The weather conditions we witnessed in the spring were responsible for a delay in ripening which the hot summer weather failed to make up for. The grape harvest therefore began two weeks later than normal.

The mildness of the autumn allowed us to pick perfectly ripe grapes.

The result was great sense of place and well-balanced wines showing beautiful freshness.
